Imagine racing an endurance event and you plan to change drivers every 20 laps, easy enough right? Now think if you had how many laps you've done, how many seconds behind the leader (or ahead if you're lucky!) and any other pertinent info right there on the steering wheel of your kart. Only 12 seconds away from the leader and this is your 20th lap? Maybe you can push it a little and gain a few seconds through the next driver change. This is just one example of the beauty of the Driver Information Display Unit, or Driver Dash for short.
The Driver Dash displays:
- Current Lap Time
- Last Lap Time
- Gap to leader
- Speed
- Current Flag status (Green, Yellow, Blue, Red, Black) for each individual kart)
- Lap Record
- Best Lap Time
- Send custom messages to individual karts (i.e., "NO BUMPING" or "NO POWER BRAKING")
- Club Speed Custom settings allow you to display the racer's name on the dash when the kart is assigned to them in the pits. No more calling out racers names, just tell them to walk down the line and find their name on the steering wheel. Adds a professional touch and can speed up your throughput!
This innovative technology not only offers a myriad of info to your drivers, it also gives them a chance to be a part of a true, Formula1-type-technology racing experience!
Information is displayed in large visible characters, providing excellent readability to the driver. A white backlight ensures perfect visibility even in cases of low ambient light. The backlight can also come on automatically at the moment new information is available on the display. The track operator can fully configure the display and decide which items on the display must be shown or not.
The unique Driver Information Display from the Haardt Electronic Engineering BV, can provide drivers at each moment of a race event with relevant information, for example :
Phase 1: While waiting in the kart for the race to start:
Phase 2: Start of the race
Phase 3: During the race
Phase 4: Race time is expired, but karts are still driving on the track
Phase 5: When the kart enters the pits
Simply put the Club Speed dash is the most advanced driver display system on the market.
When the kart is in the pits waiting for the driver to sit down it will greet them with their name!
Show them their gap to the leader, last lap, best lap, time since last pass, current flags for the track or individual racers and you can even show them a customized message!
